Cardiac Monitor

A Cardiac Monitor is a device that monitors cardiac activity by showing the electrical and pressure waveforms of the cardiovascular system. Especially in cancer care, a cardiac monitor helps to detect, prevent, and manage chemotherapeutic side effects on heart so that patients can successfully complete their cancer treatment without untoward damage to their heart. Multimodal monitors that simultaneously measure and display the relevant vital parameters, such as blood pressure monitoring, are commonly integrated into the bedside monitors in critical care units.
