Computed Tomography Simulator

A Computed Tomography (CT) Simulator is a machine that transmits x-rays through tissues to create a graphic display of the tumour and surrounding normal tissue during radiotherapy.

A CT Simulator allows for precise treatment planning by demonstrating the relationship between the target tumour and healthy tissues while the patient is in treatment position. The radiation oncologist and physicist tailor the radiation plan to account for movement of the target and normal tissues during radiotherapy.
