Craniotome

A craniotome is a tool that can be used for drilling simple burr holes (holes created in the skull to release excess fluid pressure on the brain), for creating openings in the skull (craniotomy) for retrieving biopsy samples or for complete removal of brain tumours. This tool is designed to help remove the tumour tissue only, preventing injury to the surrounding brain tissue.
