As SKMCH&RC deals with cancer patients, therefore no risk can be taken as far as hygiene is concerned. To serve the patients best, admitted at the hospital, SKMCH&RC is the first hospital in Pakistan to have HACCP certification for food services department. This certification includes raw material receiving, preparation area, storage area, kitchen, dish washing area and cafeterias.
In SKMCH&RC, every effort is made to ensure that the quality of services being provided to the patients is being constantly monitored, and enhanced. Every service/department has established certain quality control and quality assurance mechanisms; some of which are controlled at the departmental level, and some are centralized through the Quality and Patient Safety Department.
