Palliative Care Nursing Seminar Series

Aim:
This series of three seminars is especially designed for all Nurse involved in the care of the patients suffering from a life threatening illness especially people with advanced cancer.

Objectives:
Upon completion of Palliative Care Nursing Seminar series Nurses will be able to:

  • Develop concept of Palliative Care Nursing & Hospice Care
  • Discuss nursing management of common symptoms experienced by Palliative Care Patients
  • Address the needs of patient and family at end stage of life and provide  care accordingly
  • Understand care need of the carers to reduce the level of stress while caring for the dying patients & family

Training Mode:
Seminars are open to All Nurses within the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center. Nurses from other hospitals are also invited to attend this educational activity.
