Description:

Gamma Camera room is a place in the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Hospital, where functioning of brain, thyroid, lungs, liver, gallbladder, kidneys and skeleton are scanned through special gamma cameras. Gamma cameras are also called a scintillation camera, which allows radiologists to carry out ‘scintigraphy scans’ and helps in diagnosing the disturbances of functions of mentioned organs.

Each Gamma Camera Room (similar to the one at SKMCH&RC, Lahore, image of which is displayed above) to be built at SKMCH&RC, Karachi will be equiped with state-of-the-art Gamma Camera machine and allied equipment.
