Colonoscope (Paediatric)
A colonoscope is an instrument used for endoscopic examination of the large bowel and distal part of small bowel with a fiber optic camera attached to the tip of a flexible tube passed through the anus. It can help provide a visual diagnosis, for example, ulceration or tumorous growths. It can also help to conduct a biopsy or to remove suspected colorectal cancer lesions. Colonoscopy can remove polyps as small as one millimeter.
