Biobank

Bio banking is an emerging source of cancer research worldwide. We established a biobank facility of fresh frozen samples in February 2019. Currently, our biobank encompasses 1614 samples. The aim of establishing the biobank facility was to obtain cancerous and non-cancerous samples in standardized conditions for translational research. Our goal is to do research into improving the diagnosis and treatment of cancer as per our mission statement. This facility will support research programs to identify diagnostic molecular markers, prognostic indicators, and therapeutic targets for cancer patients. The material in the biobank will enable us to develop international research collaborations, and the data thus generated will be of immense importance in improving our understanding related to progression of cancer and will play an important role in promoting better care and management of cancer globally.

This inventory is updated every month. Last update on November 30, 2024.
