Neuroendoscope

A neuroendoscope is an instrument used to remove brain tumours by making small, penny-sized holes in the skull to access the tumour site. An image-guidance system such as CT or MRI may be used for direct visualization and to create 3D “maps” to help navigate through the holes. The centre of the tumour can also be cored out for biopsies.
