Sumaira

In 1994, Sumaira Yousaf was admitted to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) as its first regular registered patient. Before coming to SKMCH&RC, Sumaira was suffering from severe pains and underwent surgery at a local hospital but six months later, her problem recurred. Cancer was diagnosed. Sumaira was then brought to us. Here she received the best treatment with all expenses paid through the hospital’s Zakat funds. Sumaira miraculously was cured of cancer.

Today, Sumaira leads a normal, healthy and productive life. She is working at SKMCH&RC and is a living example that cancer is curable. Sumaira’s victory over all odds is a tribute to the Hospital’s commitment and expertise as well as a source of inspiration for all of us.
