This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full time consultant in gastroenterology in the Department of Internal Medicine at SKMCH&RC. The appointee will be expected to provide medical expertise in the day to day management of sick cancer patients. The primary role is to supervise and be responsible for the care of cancer patients with gastroenterological illness, and to advise colleagues in the optimal management of such illness. The individual will be expected to work with and support the established multidisciplinary site specific teams, and to be fully involved in the ongoing educational, training and research activities of the department.

The appointed individual will be expected to be fully trained in both luminal and solid-organ gastroenterology, and to be au fait with the latest endoscopic techniques, including, but not limited to, diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy, ERCP, enteroscopy/capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound, as well as in advanced endoscopic techniques, such as EMR, ESD, EUS-FNA and so forth.

This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a senior instructor in the Department of Paediatric Oncology. 
 
After completing two-years at SKMCH & RC, Lahore the individual will be required to complete mandatory one-year period of overseas training at an affiliated institution in the US, UK, Canada or equivalent approved location which may be arranged by SKMCH & RC if a paid position is not available. Following successful completion of this training, the candidate will be eligible for a full time consultant position at one of our hospitals, in Lahore or in Peshawar.

The appointed individual will be expected to provide paediatric oncology expertise in the ongoing clinical care and management of cancer patients. The appointee will be expected to liaise closely with oncologists, surgeons and physicians in other specialties and allied staff within the hospital. Appointees will be expected to be proficient in all aspects of ultrasound and have good core knowledge in other diagnostic radiology modalities. The job plan will encompass out-of-hours ultrasound lists on weekdays as well as on weekends.
