The Shaukat Khanum Pathology Laboratory located at SKMCH&RC, Lahore is one of the nation’s largest and most sophisticated facilities that uses state-of-the-art equipment for all tests, setting a standard for result accuracy and reliability.

The Pathology Laboratory at SKMCH&RC, Lahore consists of the Anatomical and Clinical Pathology sections including the Blood Bank. Both, the Laboratory and the Blood Bank, are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with Consultant Pathologists available on call round the clock. The Pathology Department based in SKMCH&RC, Lahore also oversees the SKMCH&RC Laboratory in Peshawar that currently offers a limited test menu in sub-specialties including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cytology, Molecular Biology and Hematology & Blood Banking. The Pathology Department also manages four stat laboratories in Rahim Yar Khan, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan, where routine tests are performed in sub-specialties including Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Hematology.. With a comprehensive test menu, more than 5 million tests and procedures are performed every year at our Laboratories.
